"Lazy Sunday" is an SNL Digital Short featuring Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell rapping about their mundane plans for a lazy Sunday afternoon. The two adopt the brash personas of hardcore rappers while discussing very "un-hardcore" activities like eating cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery, searching for directions on MapQuest and Google Maps, and watching a matinee of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" at an Upper West Side cinema. The sketch humorously juxtaposes aggressive hip-hop styling with everyday, sensitive subjects. The video was shot around Manhattan and became YouTube's first viral television clip, helping to establish YouTube as a major platform for video sharing. Traffic to YouTube increased 83% in the week following the video's upload.
