Ed Grimley

Ed Grimley is one of Martin Short's most famous characters - a hyperactive, triangle-haired man-child known for his nervous energy, childlike enthusiasm, and signature catchphrases like "I must say" and "makes me completely mental." The character originated at The Second City Toronto and became so popular he appeared on both SCTV and later Saturday Night Live, making him the only character to appear on both shows. Ed Grimley even got his own animated series in 1988.
