More to the story.
Dame Sally Markham is a wealthy, celebrated romantic novelist in Little Britain's first series, played by Matt Lucas. Lounging on a sofa with her pet dog and a box of chocolates, she dictates thin love stories to her secretary Miss Grace, then pads them out when they fall far short of the required length. The character nods to the dictation habits of novelist Dame Barbara Cartland.
